Volunteer Opportunities at your Local PRC

Consider volunteering at your local crisis pregnancy center! CPC's, also called Pregnancy Resource Centers, or Pregnancy Help Centers, are on the front lines in most communities, making a practical, loving effort to help women choose life over abortion.

Here is a list of volunteer opportunities available at your local CPC. Of course roles will vary from center to center.
  • Peer Counselor
Provide one-on-one crisis intervention and on-going counseling. Make referrals and follow-up contacts with clients. Supply abstinence information. Maintain accurate and confidential files. Attend in-service training. Usually a four-hour weekly commitment. Training required and provided.
  • Receptionist
Handle incoming client and business calls. Schedule appointments, greet clients and do some phone counseling. Attend in-service training. Usually a four-hour weekly commitment. Training required and provided.
  • Mentor/Advocate
Provide on-going friendship to a client.
  • Baby-sitter
Provide free childcare for the children of volunteers when the volunteers are working at the CPC or attending staff meetings.
  • Driver
Provides transportation so women and their children can attend support group meetings, CPC appointments and other appointments related to CPC services.
  • Clothing Ministry
Collect, mend, clean, iron and sort baby and maternity clothing. Variable time commitment.
  • Seamtress
