Our Center was recently prepared to purchase an ultrasound machine. But, providentially, another Center Director strongly encouraged us to first consider the Focus on the Family's Option Ultrasound Program.  So after reviewing the program, we submitted an application, proceeded through the required steps, and we were eventually blessed with a new Shimadzu Ultrasound machine.  Focus generously funded 80% of its cost!

But we received much, much more than just financial assistance towards an Ultrasound.  More significantly, we also received invaluable input, guidance and expertise regarding our overall operation.  This included an in-depth review of our administrative policies, organization, daily operation, financials plus medical, liability and ethical issues.  The OUP process revealed many ultrasound issues and potential pitfalls we had overlooked and have subsequently corrected.

All Pregnancy Medical Clinics in the Option Ultrasound Program provide limited obstetrical ultrasound as medically indicated. Clinics are licensed to operate under the supervision of a physician, using only trained sonographers. Focus on the Family does not endorse the use of ultrasound outside of a medical clinic setting and does not endorse the use of ultrasound for non-medical reasons. Patient referrals are made to physicians for follow-up diagnosis and care as needed.
