Expectant mothers who see their babies on ultrasound are far less likely to seek abortions as opposed to those who don't. Therefore, Focus on the Family wants to equip 650 additional PRCs with ultrasound machines by 2010. Since the launch of Option Ultrasound, more than 156 machines have been placed in 34 states, including 26 with sonography training.

Welcome to the Option Ultrasound Program (OUP)! OUP provides grants to participating pregnancy resource centers for 80% of the cost of a new ultrasound machine or sonography training for your medical personnel. Your center will benefit in multiple ways by completing the required elements of the Program. Begin by completing the online Ministry Profile, which will then generate an OUP Application Packet, which will be sent to your center.

• Focus on the Family's Option Ultrasound Program™ places only new ultrasound machines in pregnancy resource centers due to warranty and service issues.
  
• Centers that have old ultrasound machines or analog machines are eligible to receive a replacement from Option Ultrasound.
  
• If your center has an ultrasound machine, but there are no trained personnel to perform scans, Option Ultrasound will provide a grant paying 80 percent of training costs.
